About the role As a Senior Accounting and Bookkeeping Specialist at Asabi, you will play a leadership role in driving the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations and supporting the company's strategic initiatives. Your expertise will be critical in managing complex accounting processes, guiding team members, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Key responsibilities - Oversee and manage bookkeeping and financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. - Lead the bank reconciliation process, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies. - Supervise processing of payment cheques, bank transfers, and other payment operations. - Own month-end and year-end close, including preparation of financial statements and reports. - Execute timely payments to ZATCA, GOSI, and related authorities, ensuring compliance with local regulations. - Coordinate and support internal and external audit activities, ensuring all legal and reporting requirements are met. - Identify and implement improvements in financial processes to increase efficiency and accounting compliance. - Mentor and guide less experienced accounting team members and support their professional development. - Analyze financial data and prepare comprehensive daily, monthly, and annual reports, providing actionable insights to management. Qualifications and requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - At least 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. - Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance — preferably in SaaS or technology. - Proven experience managing month-end/year-end close and financial audit processes. - Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver strategic financial insights.
